The rooms were spacious and clean, with a private bathroom that was well-maintained. The staff were friendly and always ready to help, especially one particular staff member named Karma who went above and beyond to make sure guests had a great stay. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the main attractions and shopping areas of the city. Plus, the common area was amazing, with a bar offering affordable drinks and a great atmosphere to chill and meet fellow travelers.
There were a couple of minor issues that could be improved upon. it would be great if they installed a soundproof door between the common area and the private rooms as sometimes the noise would travel.

I had an amazing stay at Yakety Yak! The private rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and a well-maintained bathroom. The common areas were cozy and inviting, perfect for socializing and relaxing. I particularly loved the cool bar area outside, although it was a shame it was raining during my visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and their English was excellent. They went above and beyond to assist me, even walking me to the street to help me hail a taxi to the airport. The location was also fantastic, just a short walk to the bustling Thamel pedestrian area and the peaceful Garden of Dreams. The only drawbacks were the lack of a soundproof door between the common area and private rooms, as it could get a bit noisy, and the limited breakfast options. However, overall I highly recommend this hostel for its exceptional service, cleanliness, and convenient location.

From the warm welcome I received during check-in to the excellent wifi and clean dorms, everything was perfect. the rooftop was a great place to relax and meet new people, and the staff were friendly and helpful. the location in the heart of Thamel was also very convenient. It's definitely the best hostel I've stayed in, even better than any luxurious 5-star hotel. Highly recommended for any kind of vacation!
No complaints! 😊.

The hostel had a cool and modern design that immediately caught my attention. The clean and neat environment, along with the comfy beds, made me feel right at home. The staff, particularly Girish, Aleesha, and Anjila, were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the city. They even went above and beyond to connect me with their network of people for my volunteering project. The hostel's suggestions for activities and places to visit were always spot on. I also loved the delicious and reasonably priced food available. The free water station and cheap laundry service were great added conveniences. The common balcony and rooftop terrace were perfect for meeting fellow travelers and enjoying the atmosphere. The location of the hostel was ideal, with plenty of nice restaurants in the area. The WiFi was reliable, and there were ample seating options in the spacious common room. I had a wonderful experience at Yakety Yak, and I highly recommend it for a enjoyable stay in Kathmandu.

Great location in the heart of the city, close to key attractions and amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff who made my stay comfortable. - the hostel had clean and spacious common areas for socializing and relaxing.
The laundry service was inconvenient as the pickup time was limited to 5pm, not ideal for backpackers needing quick turnaround. The bathrooms were dirty and had no hot water.

The staffs were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The beds were clean and comfortable, with individual lamps and charging points. We also appreciated the provided lockers for safe storage of our belongings.
Some of the rooms located near the main streets could be quite noisy, especially in the early morning. It would be wise to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
